Everyone in Ohio is yelling that the sky is falling, or more specifically the population is falling and yet we continue to do stupid things like this.
According to a WKSU (Kent State radio) interview this bill further makes it a felony to transport a woman to a state that would allow an abortion. The logic on this is that its frowned upon to go out of state to perform an action that would be illegal in state. I guess the next step would be to arrest anyone who went out of state to gamble.
Everyone has been complaining about not only the population falling but the brain drain in the state. All the Republicans point to our high taxes as the ONLY reason. Let's see - we want to attract intellectual people, many of whom are women (and in an unrelated issue gay) yet we want to ban abortion and gay marriage. If I was a woman or gay and had a choice of jobs Ohio is not where I would take that job, even though I love my state.
I don't care if people are for or against abortion. If you are against it feel free to park yourself outside of abortion clinics and protest, but do not try to legislate this issue.
