I have said this before and I will say it again - the filibuster is a good idea, no matter who has the majority. When (notice I did not say IF - politics are cyclic) the Republicans loose their majority they will do the same thing with "radical" Democratic candidates. If you look historically few candidates are blocked on both sides of the aisle. The current "problem" is just some whining in my opinion, mostly because there are Supreme court nominations coming up (as is mentioned in the article).
