Symantec: Mozilla browsers more vulnerable than IE | CNET News.com

Intersting, but I'm still not switching. Frankly I think Firefox is a better browser, security problems and all. I would find it hard to believe though that an open source project would not get a lot of eyes on security and, in the long run, Firefox proves more secure.

The site that this article links to has some very interesting figures and even more convincing graphs for IE: Currently, 19 out of 85 Secunia advisories, is marked as "Unpatched" in the Secunia database. (Sorry, it's a direct quote - bad grammar and all...)

Even the article itself pointed out about the unpatched items. There was a short followup today about how Firefox patches quicker the MS. That I would agree with - they seem to get the patch out quicker.
